NATO's Secret Plan Against Putin: How the West Prepares to Defend Against Russia

The North Atlantic Alliance is developing a new plan to deter Russia – its core will be a system that, with the help of satellites, drones, other reconnaissance assets, and artificial intelligence, will track the movement of Russian troops in real-time. This was reported by Bild, citing documents obtained by the publication.

The Bild publication obtained official documents revealing details of a large-scale plan codenamed «Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative» (EFDI).

It is claimed that the new concept will be based on continuous monitoring of troop movements using satellites, drones, and other reconnaissance assets, including ground robots. The collected information will be processed using artificial intelligence, which will analyze the situation and help assess possible actions by the Russian command.

Another fundamental innovation will be that all data and analytical reports will be simultaneously available to all NATO member countries. This will allow the Alliance's military command to quickly determine which country currently possesses the best means to repel a threat, from electronic warfare and cyber operations systems to various types of weaponry.

The documents use the term Kill Web, which describes an integrated system for gathering intelligence and delivering a strike. Its operating principle is formulated as: "See first. Decide first. Strike first."

As an example, a situation is considered where a drone detects the movement of a Russian tank column towards NATO territory. After this, information from various sources — satellites, radars, and other sensors — is combined into a single picture, allowing for the rapid selection of the most suitable means of engagement, such as a drone, artillery, or a multiple launch rocket system.

U.S. Army Major Matt Blubaugh noted that the new concept should not replace tanks, artillery, combat aircraft, or military personnel. According to him, its task is to increase their effectiveness, preserve combat potential, and give commanders more time to make decisions.

In addition to "digital deterrence," NATO plans to reinforce the technical equipment of the eastern flank. According to Bild, the concept provides that in the event of an attack, unmanned systems — drones, unmanned vehicles, and ground robots — will act first. Their task is to delay the enemy's advance and weaken them even before units with tanks, aviation, and personnel enter the battle.

As the publication states, NATO expects to implement the project in the near future and believes that such a model will help increase the effectiveness of deterrence and reduce the risk of a possible attack on alliance countries.

Как же хорошо, что НАТО умеет хранить свои секреты. Шпионам путина не добраться до них.
