Large-scale reconstruction of the Neman embankment begins in Grodno
In Grodno, a large-scale reconstruction of the Neman embankment is beginning with the creation of a new recreational zone, reported the press service of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

The reconstruction project is divided into three stages.
The first stage will cover the section from the stairs near the Boris and Gleb Kalozha Church to the confluence of the Haradnichanka River with the Neman. Its length will be 247 meters.
In this section, the street will be made pedestrian, with a width of 3.25 meters. A fence will be installed near the bank, and vehicle traffic will be restricted — access will be permitted only for special services.

During the improvement, two observation decks with benches, a bicycle parking area for six bicycles near the stairs, and information stands about the history of Rybatskaya Street will appear.
The pedestrian pathway will be laid with large-format concrete tiles, with separate sections of granite paving stones.
Due to the start of work, from July 9 to November 30, 2026, vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be temporarily closed along Pravabiarežnaja Street in the section between the stairs near the Kalozha Church and the confluence of the Haradnichanka with the Neman.

Following the first stage of reconstruction, they plan to carry out the second (from the Haradnichanka River to the junction with Zavodskaya Street on Pravanabiarežnaja Street) and the third (from the junction with Zavodskaya Street on Pravanabiarežnaja Street to Mastavaja Street).
The embankment should be renovated by the 900th anniversary of Grodno's founding, which will be celebrated in 2028.
