Belarusian who fled persecution on a motorized paraglider to be tried in absentia
The Investigative Committee of Belarus has initiated special proceedings against 48-year-old Andrei Susha.

The man is accused under Part 1 of Art. 368 (insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka), Art. 369 (insulting a government official), Part 1 of Art. 371 (illegal border crossing), Art. 391 (insulting a judge), Parts 1 and 2 of Art. 361-4 (facilitating extremist activity), Part 1 of Art. 366 (violence or threat against an official), Art. 364 (violence or threat of violence against an internal affairs officer), Part 3 of Art. 361-1 (creating an extremist formation or participating in it) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
Andrei Susha is known for flying from Belarus to Lithuania on a motorized paraglider in 2021, escaping repression.
