The new workplace of the ex-head of Gomel, about whom it was said that he was in a pre-trial detention center, has become known
Former chairman of the Gomel city executive committee, Uladzimir Pryvalau, suddenly lost his position in May. His dismissal took place amidst rumors of his arrest and real estate fraud — at the time, the Investigative Committee even had to issue an official refutation of this information.

Former chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee, Uladzimir Pryvalau, has been appointed head of the administration of the free economic zone "Gomel-Raton". The corresponding resolution of the Council of Ministers was published on July 9.
He replaced Dzmitry Lebedz, who was dismissed by agreement of the parties, in this position.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka removed Pryvalau from the position of head of Gomel on May 12 after three and a half years of work. His place was taken by Ruslan Parkhamovich (former assistant to Lukashenka for the region).
The reasons for this personnel reshuffle were not disclosed at the time.
Against the backdrop of his resignation, the "Flagstock" publication reported on Pryvalau's possible detention in a case of apartment fraud and his placement in a pre-trial detention center.
However, on June 18, the Investigative Committee refuted these rumors, stating that there was no criminal prosecution against the ex-official, and opened a criminal case for defamation.
