A resident of Gomel told on the social network Threads that she paid as much as 410 rubles for professional teeth cleaning at the private dental clinic "U-Clinic". According to her, such a price came as a surprise to her, so the girl decided to ask what other users thought about it, writes BG.Media.
The publication quickly gained widespread attention. Many noted that the cost of the procedure seemed overpriced, and the most questions were raised by the bill's detailing, which separately listed materials and consumables.
Some users provided examples that in other private clinics, a similar procedure costs approximately half as much. Dentists also joined the discussion, expressing surprise at certain items on the bill.
Following the public outcry, the clinic's administration reviewed the patient's appeal and offered her an individual discount. As a result, the cost of the procedure was reduced to 282 rubles 10 kopecks, which is almost 128 rubles less than the original amount.
Later, the girl reported that the clinic explained the high cost by stating that the cleaning was performed on all her 28 teeth. However, she stated that she did not find this explanation sufficiently convincing. At the same time, the patient emphasized that she had no complaints about the quality of the service provided or the staff's work — her questions arose only regarding pricing.
After this, clinic representatives asked the girl to delete the published photos of the documents, as personal data of employees were visible on them. The clinic also stated that further dissemination of these materials could harm its business reputation.
