GUBOP and special forces detained a 40-year-old resident of the Vitebsk region, who led sects, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. According to the police, the man made money from paid online and offline rituals, and also collected money for a temple, but spent all the proceeds on alcohol and organized orgies.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs writes, a 40-year-old resident of the Vitebsk region organized and led the activities of pseudo-religious organizations, sects, including those recognized as extremist. To popularize his activities and attract new followers, the man created and administered accounts on social networks, where he not only offered church services but also posted pornographic materials.
The money he collected, allegedly for the construction of a temple, he spent on alcohol, the police report.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in his house, the man organized group orgies, in which he himself participated. At the same time, he did not warn his partners about his positive HIV status, putting them at risk of infection. In addition, he subjected an acquaintance to violence, in connection with which the latter expressed suicidal intentions.
The man had previously served a sentence for lewd acts against minors, dissemination of pornographic materials, and also for the theft of religious objects.
The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
