Belarusian bought a driver's license in Russia for 1000 euros. Now he has problems in Poland
In Warsaw, traffic police stopped a Belarusian citizen for a check, but his driver's license seemed suspicious to the patrol officers. It turned out that the man had bought it several years ago in Russia. Now he could face a real prison term in Poland, according to a report from the traffic police, writes the Most publication.

The Toyota car, driven by the Belarusian, was stopped during operation "Safe Transport 2026" on Aleje Jerozolimskie street. The driver presented his license, but even during its initial inspection, officers had suspicions.
"A detailed analysis using a magnifying glass equipped with UV illumination showed the absence of characteristic security features and signs that the document was produced using inkjet printing," the police reported.
The driver then admitted that he had purchased the document several years ago in Russia for 1000 euros.
The man was detained, his driver's license was confiscated, and the car was evacuated.
Using a forged or altered document as genuine in Poland carries a prison sentence of 3 months to 5 years.
