Belarusian truck driver involved in an accident in an Austrian tunnel
Near the Austrian town of Imst, in the federal state of Tyrol, a truck driven by a Belarusian was involved in an accident in a road tunnel. This was reported by the local police, writes the website "Belarus and the World".

The accident occurred on Thursday, July 2, in the afternoon around 12:10 PM in the Roppen Tunnel on the A12 autobahn, where traffic was restricted to one tube due to road works.
The truck, driven by a 42-year-old Belarusian, was heading towards the city of Bregenz, while a passenger car with a 60-year-old Austrian at the wheel was traveling in the opposite direction.
For reasons yet unknown, the passenger car swerved into the oncoming lane and collided with the semi-trailer of the truck, after which it skidded and spun across the roadway.

The Austrian sustained injuries of an unspecified severity and, after receiving first aid, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in the city of Zams. The Belarusian was unharmed.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The tunnel was closed until approximately 2:00 PM for cleanup operations. Traffic was rerouted.
