Epidemiologist Nastassia Liashkevich reported that ticks show the highest activity in the morning, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and in the evening — from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

According to the specialist, ticks can be found both in rural areas and in cities. They feel best in humid and cloudy weather, while heat, high temperatures, and direct sunlight reduce their activity.
Typically, ticks wait for people or animals in tall grass, after which they cling to clothing or fur. Most often they attach themselves in areas with thin skin — in the armpits, groin, on the neck, behind the ears, and on the inner side of the elbows.
To reduce the risk of a bite, Nastassia Liashkevich advises wearing closed clothing and a head covering, regularly inspecting yourself and your companions during outdoor recreation, and also using repellents, which can be applied to the skin or clothing.
In addition, for prevention, it is worth maintaining order in household plots: timely mowing tall grass, clearing weeds, dry brushwood, and trash.
