Baranavichy significantly outpaced Niasvizh in tourist interest. But only by one indicator
The "Kufar Travel" service analyzed over 120 thousand successfully completed accommodation reservations for January–June 2026 and compiled a rating of the most popular cities for trips around Belarus.
Most reservations — 91% — were made by residents of Belarus. Another 4.6% of orders came from users in Russia, and the remaining 4.4% from guests from other countries.
Minsk remains the undisputed leader in the number of reservations. The capital accounted for almost 40% of all orders in the first half of the year, which is more than the five regional centers combined.
Hrodna took second place with a share of 11.8%, and Brest was third (9.8%). Vitsebsk and Homiel each received 5.6% of reservations, with the difference between them being only about 30 orders. Mahiliou was in sixth position with an indicator of 4.8%.
Among cities that are not regional centers, Baranavichy enjoyed the greatest popularity. In the first six months of 2026, over three thousand reservations were made there, which put the city in seventh place in the overall ranking.
Pinsk and Babruisk followed. The top twenty also included Lida, Polatsk, Mazyr, Orsha, settlements in the Minsk district, Navapolatsk, Barysau, Kobryn, Salihorsk, Maladzyechna, and Niasvizh.
According to the study, the twenty most popular locations accounted for 93.4% of all reservations from a total list of 113 settlements. This indicates a high concentration of demand.
Traditionally popular tourist destinations showed more modest results. Niasvizh took 20th place with 640 reservations, Braslau received 321 reservations, Navahrudak — 212, Myadzel — 37, and Mir — only 19. This indicates that in the first half of 2026, the most active demand for short-term accommodation rental was observed not only in well-known tourist centers but also in large district cities.
At the same time, the authors of the study note that the number of reservations depends not only on tourists' interest in a particular area but also on the number of available accommodations, seasonality, and peculiarities of ad placement.
