The office of the not recognized Union of Poles in Belarus was searched on June 27. Police seized documents and all computers found in the office.
Previously, it was reported that the police looks for literature with anti-state slogans that is supposedly present in the office.
Belarus has two organizations that name themselves the Union of Poles in Belarus. The first one is officially recognized by Belarus and registered in the country. The second one, Hrodna-based organization, is recognized by Poland.
Recently arrested Belarusian journalist for Gazeta Wyborcza Andrzej Poczobut is an active member of the unrecognized Union of Poles in Belarus.
