Premiere shows of the play "Boat of Despair" will take place at the RTBD from December 27 to 30
Premiere shows of the play "Boat of Despair," dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Uladzimir Karatkievich's birth, will take place at the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama on December 27, 28, and 30, reports BELTA.

Director Svetlana Naumenko turns to one of the author's most mysterious and philosophical works. The stage will transform into a metaphorical space where, through music, movement, and visual images, the inner world of a person on the brink between being and eternity is explored.
The true foundation and inspiration for the play were the words of Karatkievich himself: "'Boat of Despair' is, in my opinion, the most successful attempt to give a generalized character to a Belarusian for whom even the devil is no brother, whom death does not frighten, who loves the Motherland, life, and merriment above all else, and who will under no circumstances yield in the struggle for them."
"Premiere shows of the play 'Boat of Despair' are more than just a theatrical event. It is an intellectual, emotional, and meaningful journey, an invitation to jointly seek answers to questions that concern everyone. Come to look into the mirror of human destiny together with RTBD and, perhaps, find your own reflections, theatrical treasures, and valuable insights there," the theater emphasized.
