According to available information, the searches are taking place in the Kyiv office of the party on Turivska Street. Simultaneously, NABU and SAP announced that they had exposed the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in corrupt activities.
It is noted that this person offered undue advantage to a number of people's deputies from other factions for voting "for" or "against" certain draft laws.
The actions of the person involved are preliminarily qualified under part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Anti-corruption bodies promise to announce more detailed information later.
The leader of the "Batkivshchyna" faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is the founder of the eponymous party, 65-year-old Yulia Tymoshenko — Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2005 and 2007-2010.
