In Norway, the Crown Princess's son was arrested before trial in a sexual assault case. And the princess herself was friends with Epstein

In Norway, police arrested Marius Borg Høiby — the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon — two days before the start of his trial in a sexual assault case. He is suspected of assaulting a woman, threatening her with a knife, and violating a court order prohibiting contact with the victims, writes Euronews.

29-year-old Høiby is due to appear before the Oslo District Court on charges of 38 crimes, including four alleged rape incidents and violence against former partners. Prosecutors insist on his four-week detention, fearing repeat offenses. Høiby himself has admitted to some of the less serious charges but denies the most severe ones.

The situation surrounding the royal family has been complicated by another scandal. Documents published in the USA indicate that Crown Princess Mette-Marit maintained close contacts with Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sexual crimes, between 2011 and 2014. According to Norwegian media, her name is repeatedly mentioned in these materials.

Mette-Marit publicly apologized, calling these connections a disgrace, and confirmed that she had stayed at Epstein's residence in the USA for several days in 2013.

Several of Høiby's former partners have joined the case as plaintiffs, and the court has prohibited him from contacting them. If convicted, the man faces up to 16 years in prison. The trial, which will continue until mid-March, has caused widespread public outcry in Norway.
