"Before flying to Pakistan, the US Vice President, who leads the American delegation for negotiations with Iran, stated: 'If the Iranians want to negotiate honestly, we are ready to extend an open hand. If they try to play with us, they will see that the [US] negotiating team reacts poorly to this,' writes Bild.
According to Vance, Trump gave the delegation "quite clear instructions" on how the negotiations should proceed. The Vice President did not disclose details and did not answer journalists' questions, but expressed hope for a positive outcome.
After this, Trump himself threatened Iran with new large-scale strikes in an interview with the New York Post: "We are loading ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever created — even better than what we have already used. If we don't reach a deal, we will use it. And we will use it very effectively."
The US President called this a "relaunch" of the military operation. On Truth Social, he wrote in capital letters: "THE STRONGEST RELAUNCH IN THE WORLD!"
