Iran stated its readiness to discuss the degree of uranium enrichment with the US
Iran has stated it is ready for talks with the US on key issues — including the level of uranium enrichment and safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, reports The Moscow Times.

Iranian Foreign Ministry representative Esmail Baghaei noted that the topic of uranium enrichment is not new: Tehran had previously stated its readiness to discuss both the process itself and its scale. However, Iran insists it has the right to develop its nuclear program in accordance with its needs.
In addition, Iran may consider the possibility of safe passage for civilian vessels through the part of the Strait of Hormuz adjacent to Oman. This is possible provided that the US agrees to certain demands from Tehran and an agreement is reached that will exclude new attacks against Iran. However, it is not yet clear whether passage will be ensured for all vessels without exception, or whether possible mine obstacles will be removed.
To reach an agreement in time, the parties are discussing extending the current ceasefire for another two weeks. It is currently set to end on April 21. Negotiations are ongoing, and according to sources, there has already been some progress — the parties have moved closer to a preliminary agreement on ending the war.
Nevertheless, a final agreement is not yet guaranteed, as serious disagreements remain between Iran and the US. A new round of negotiations is expected to take place in the coming days, but the exact date has not yet been determined.
