In Minsk, a man stole a garden sofa to hand it in for scrap metal

A 55-year-old Minsk resident took a garden sofa from a yard flowerbed to hand it in for scrap metal. However, he did not manage to carry out his intention — he was found by police officers.

A 37-year-old resident of the capital contacted the police. He reported that his wife had tidied up the flowerbed near their house and placed a sofa there for relaxation. After some time, the furniture disappeared.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect initially noticed a beautiful flowerbed, and then paid attention to the sofa and decided to take it for himself. The value of the stolen property amounted to more than 150 rubles.

The man admitted his guilt. A criminal case was initiated against him.
