Iran's Supreme Leader to Deliver an Important Message

The Ayatollah's address is expected to be dedicated to the funeral and farewell ceremony for his father.

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will deliver an "important message" within a few hours, Fars news agency reported.

The Ayatollah's address is expected to be dedicated to the funeral and farewell ceremony for his father and predecessor as supreme leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Ali Khamenei died on February 28 during an airstrike carried out as part of a US and Israeli operation, but he was only buried this week.

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed the post of supreme leader on March 8.
