"Honey for the Ears." Belarusian-speaking elevator in Minsk caused a stir
A regular elevator in one of Minsk's buildings delighted people. The reason – the Belarusian-language voice-over of the floors.
"Whaaaat, listen for yourselves! I encountered this for the first time in Minsk. A Belarusian-speaking elevator. A high-rise near Aerodromnaya. I even rode it up and down a few times – it's that unusual," —
a young man under the nickname theuladzislau, who calls himself "a young and lonely zoomer from Belarus," emotionally wrote in Threads, accompanying his words with a video from the elevator.
The post gathered about a thousand likes and approximately 19 thousand views. But it's notable not only for this: almost all comments under it are written in Belarusian.

Some expressed the opinion that "such a voice-over should become standard for elevators."
Some admitted that they would like to hear their native language not only in this elevator, but everywhere.

There were also those for whom this small detail made the neighborhood more appealing.

In the comments, people began to share their own observations. It turned out that Belarusian-speaking elevators are not only in Minsk.

Among dozens of enthusiastic reviews, one short comment particularly stood out. It did not criticize the idea of a Belarusian-speaking elevator itself, but reminded that such joy, for many, already looks symbolic in itself.
