Lukashenka noted that the President of Uzbekistan asked him not only about the employment of his citizens, but first of all about the supply of meat and milk, writes BelTA.

"They don't have enough land, they don't have water (insufficient water resources). We have enough land and water. We can produce meat and milk," he said and added that the parties agreed on the arrival of workers from Uzbekistan to Belarus to resolve the issue of supplying necessary agricultural products faster and more efficiently.

At the same time, Lukashenka drew attention to the fact that if someone intends to go to Belarus to earn "very big money" equivalent to several thousand dollars, it is better to consider, for example, the option of employment in Russia.

"There they can get jobs at oil fields or other facilities, work and earn a very high salary," he said.

"They will come to us, I emphasize again, to produce meat, milk, other agricultural products and supply them to their homeland. The higher the productivity, the more goods they produce, the higher their salary will be. And they will be able to manage it as they wish," he stated.

"If you don't need people from outside, don't take them. I'm not forcing you to take them," Alexander Lukashenka noted.

It should be recalled that a week ago, a video recorded by migrant workers from Uzbekistan appeared online, in which they complained about the proposed salary of $500, while, according to them, they had to pay for housing and food themselves. They stated that under such conditions they were ready to refuse work and return home.

Propagandists reacted to the video, and one of the migrant workers recorded a new one, where he spoke about a salary of $700.

The authorities reacted to the situation, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov said that migrant workers have already been distributed among enterprises, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko stated that the authorities are fulfilling all obligations for receiving workers from Uzbekistan.
