At the "Warsaw West" bus station, an unknown man, approximately 35 years old, approached her from behind and punched her in the head.

“A few days ago, my friend Aliaksandra Herasimenia, a well-known Belarusian athlete, world swimming champion, was attacked right in the center of Warsaw,” — reported Natallia Radzina, editor of the “Charter-97” website, on her Facebook.
“At the ‘Warsaw West’ bus station, where Sasha arrived on business on the morning of July 10, an unknown man, approximately 35 years old, approached her from behind and punched her in the head. He said nothing and immediately left.
From shock and pain, Sasha didn't immediately understand what had happened. There was no one to call for help — people were rushing to their flights and didn't even notice the incident. When she regained consciousness, she went to the police.
I arrived at Sasha’s already at Komenda Rejonowa Policji Warszawa III (Opaczewska St., 8), where she gave testimony and recounted what had happened.
However, in my presence, a police officer said that finding the attacker would be quite difficult: it's not certain that the incident was captured by surveillance cameras; even if there is a video recording, the quality of the image is unknown; and finally, it's possible that this person is not in the police database. Even if he is found, he will most likely not be jailed, because if the injuries are not severe and have no obvious signs, it could be classified as minor hooliganism," she wrote.
