Recording video in toilets will be prohibited, and surveillance footage will be stored for no more than a month
The law on personal data protection is set to be amended.

A public discussion of the draft law "On Amendments to Laws on Personal Data Protection" has begun on the legal forum of Belarus.
The developers declare that the goal is not to strengthen control, but to reduce the administrative burden on organizations.
The list of cases for data processing without consent is expanding. For example, this includes reviewing resumes during employment; data from letters sent to an organization's email; photos of citizens on organizational websites; cross-border data transfer; fulfillment of international treaties of Belarus, and more.
A separate section concerns video and audio recordings: it prohibits monitoring specific employees or controlling work discipline through cameras.
Recording in restrooms, changing rooms, and similar places will also be prohibited.
Storage of recordings will now be limited to 30 days (unless otherwise provided by law).
A norm regarding video surveillance cameras in entrances is being added to the Housing Code — requiring the consent of the apartment owner if the camera "sees" the entrance to their dwelling.
