Russian troops almost destroyed the "Yasnohorodka" family ecopark near Kyiv. Some of the animals, for whom the farm served as a shelter, died. But the evacuation of the rest has already begun. This was reported by the ecopark owners and the public organization UAnimals, which helps evacuate animals, writes "Ukrainska Pravda".

"Yesterday (March 29 - Ed.), about 15 animals were evacuated. These are five llamas, several alpacas, and very rare beautiful pink pelicans," noted a UAnimals volunteer.
On March 30, volunteers, with the help of evacuation vehicles, rescued two more camels, two buffaloes, and donkeys.

According to the volunteer, the farm owners assure that throughout the month of war, ecopark staff fed and cared for the animals. However, unfortunately, due to active enemy shelling, this was not always possible.
According to Akim Akimov, owner of the Yasnohorodka farm, about 20 ostriches, Scottish cow calves, Hungarian Surka (a breed of cows), two llamas, and an alpaca died during the war.
The owner notes that no animal died due to lack of food or water. All of them died as a result of shelling and stress.
As of March 30, hundreds of animals still remain in the "Yasnohorodka" ecopark. In particular, about 30 sheep, 250 ostriches, and yaks.
The family ecopark, which until recently always welcomed visitors, now looks desolate: burned buildings, traces of bombing visible everywhere. But Akim Akimov says: "The fact that we fed so many animals and they survived is already a success."
