Young Peleng employee arrested for "calls to harm Belarus". She faces up to 12 years
29-year-old Karyna Pratashchyk has a young child. The girl might have been detained during last year's KGB raid at the enterprise.
Karyna Pratashchyk is 29 years old. She is originally from Minsk. Karyna is a very creative person — she loves to travel, photograph, and make various things by hand. Five years ago, she created her own educational cards for children.
Judging by her social networks, the girl has a husband and a minor child.
According to "Bypol", Pratashchyk had been working at "Peleng" since 2017. Most recently — as a 5th-grade optical parts and devices controller in the technical control bureau of optical and space production. She was responsible for checking the quality of optical products.
It is not known for sure when she was detained — Karyna's last activity we found was more than 7 months ago. Approximately at the same time, in July 2024, a raid on "Peleng" employees took place.
It was connected with Bypol's large investigation, which was based on documents leaked from the enterprise. "Peleng" employees were subjected to polygraph tests, and some were fired. Criminal cases resulting from the raid were not known until now.
The trial of the girl begins on February 3, 2025, at the Minsk City Court. Karyna is accused of "calls to actions causing harm to Belarus" (Part 3, Article 361 of the Criminal Code). She faces four to twelve years in a penal colony.
