Belarusian hockey player to play in AHL All-Star Game

Belarusian forward Ilya Protas of the "Hershey Bears" has been selected to participate in the American Hockey League All-Star Game (the second most important hockey league in North America after the NHL), reports "Belarusian Hockey".

Belarusian forward Ilya Protas of the "Hershey Bears" has been selected to participate in the AHL All-Star Game, which will take place on February 10-11 in Rockford, Illinois.

The younger Protas learned about this news from his older brother Alexei Protas, who plays for "Washington" in the National Hockey League.

19-year-old Ilya Protas has scored 27 (14+13) points in 34 games in the current AHL season. Among the league's rookies, he ranks fourth in the scoring list and second in the goal-scoring list.

The younger Protas was drafted by "Washington" in the 2024 draft, but has not yet debuted in the NHL.
