"My mom sent me to the police." A Minsk student was scammed by fraudsters and forced to become their courier
The 22-year-old guy received a call from "Vodokanal" (Water Utility) and dictated a code from an SMS message.

Then he received a call and was intimidated with criminal liability for illegal banking operations. To avoid punishment, the student agreed to follow the curators' demands, Minsk police report.
The young man took a taxi to three addresses and collected money from two men and a girl. All of them had also fallen victim to fraud and believed they were declaring their money through a National Bank courier.
The student handed one of the envelopes with someone else's money to the next intermediary. He took the other two abroad.
Upon returning home to Minsk, the young man told his mother about the incident. The woman realized it was a scam and immediately advised her son to contact the police. So he went to the police.
