How much does it cost to rent accommodation for the May holidays in Minsk, Grodno, and Brest, where many Russians will arrive?
Many tourists from Russia traditionally visit Belarus for the May holidays, as it's an opportunity for them to enter Europe without a visa. We looked at the rental prices for apartments on these dates in the three most popular cities.
Minsk
If you book accommodation now, you can stay for the May holidays in areas close to the center at rates starting from 120 rubles per night for 1-2 people.

However, these will be apartments with not the most modern renovations, and there are only three such offers on the entire "Kufar" platform.
For other similar apartments, they ask for 160-180 rubles per day.
Next, there are many studios in "Minsk World" at rates from 250 to 300 rubles per day for two people. Moreover, a higher tariff applies for May, as the same apartments can be rented a third cheaper on weekends earlier or later. Many rent apartments for a minimum of two nights for May.
Directly in the city center, prices are higher, and the selection is not that large. There are about 30-40 apartments available on these dates. Some apartments are already booked: some are unavailable on May 1st, others on May 9th.
Prices for May 8-10 are higher than for May 1-3. For example, a two-room apartment two minutes' walk from Victory Square can be rented for a minimum of 300 rubles per night on the first May weekend, and for Victory Day, it's already 600 rubles.

Moreover, on weekends in the second half of May, a night there costs only 150 rubles.
For renting a two-room Stalin-era apartment near the railway station, you'll have to pay 1340 rubles for 2 nights if two people stay, and 1540 if there are 3-4 people, including children.

For comparison, two nights' stay on weekends in the second half of May here cost only 600-800 rubles, depending on the number of guests.

And two nights in April cost 500 rubles.
And it seems that for two-room apartments with good renovations in the center, 500 dollars for two nights during the May holidays is a standard price.

A two-room apartment on Lenin Street, 2, is also rented for a minimum of two nights. For the May Day holidays, it's 1400-1500 rubles depending on the number of guests (2-4 people), and for Victory Day, it's 1500-1600 rubles.
Grodno
In Grodno, daily rental rates for apartments in areas near the center for the May Day holidays start from 100-120 rubles for apartments with not the freshest renovations. On the outskirts, there are a few options for 80-90.

Apartments closer to the historical center are rented at higher rates. For a simple one-room apartment in the historical center, they ask 350 rubles for May Day, and 380 rubles for Victory Day.

Meanwhile, on ordinary weekends, a night there costs from 180 to 250 rubles.
For a two-room apartment in the center of Grodno, they ask 450 rubles, both for May Day and Victory Day. And a night on weekends in April here can be spent for only 250 rubles.

Currently, for the May holidays, you can book an apartment in the center of Grodno for 200 rubles per day. But most options are 300-350 rubles for one night.

Brest
On the outskirts of Brest, apartments with old renovations for May can now be found for 80-100 rubles, but there are not many such budget offers.
The cheapest option for an overnight stay during the May Day holidays near the center is a one-room apartment on Gogol Street, designed for two. A night is only 120 rubles.

Other apartments in the budget segment for May Day are rented at a rate starting from 150 rubles.
Peak prices in Brest are closer to Victory Day, as many eager to visit the Brest Fortress specifically during this period.
Thus, if a studio on 17 September is rented for 250 rubles per day on ordinary weekends, then on May 8-10, a night there already costs 580-630 rubles.

Another apartment in the central part of Brest, which is rented for 150 rubles per day on ordinary weekends, costs 350 rubles for Victory Day, and is already booked for May Day.

And this is not even the biggest increase. For example, a one-room apartment near the fortress is rented for 170-220 rubles per day on ordinary weekends, depending on the number of guests. However, to stay there from May 8-9 or May 9-10, you'll have to pay a minimum of 500 rubles per night if 1-2 people stay, 600 with two children, and if four adults arrive, then 700 rubles.
