Sakhashchyk bought a subsidiary company of a large Russian online retailer in Belgium

After stepping down as Tsikhanouskaya's 'defense minister' in August 2024, Valery Sakhashchyk focused on developing his family business in Poland. A month ago, Valery Sakhashchyk bought the Belgian company Bygalamart B.V.

Bygalamart B.V. was formerly the Belgian subsidiary of the large Russian retail chain Galamart.

Galamart launched in Belgium in 2019 and sold household appliances, ceramics, and kitchenware through its website.

The company did not achieve sustainable profit, and by the end of 2022, it showed a significant loss. Starting in 2023, it was prepared for sale: the warehouse disappeared from the balance sheet, debts were paid, and the company's book value equaled its authorized capital — 25 thousand euros.

As of March 1, 2026, Bygalamart B.V. changed ownership and management. 100% of the company's shares now belong to Valery Sakhashchyk. The director became Ukrainian Maksym Drabyazho — an operational manager at the Sakhashchyks' Polish family construction company 'Sahaty'.

In 2024, Polish 'Sahaty' reported approximately 145 thousand euros in profit with a turnover of just under 16 million euros.

Sakhashchyk has been developing the Belgian market since late 2023. The most significant project is participation in the construction of a large residential complex in Mechelen.

Owning a Belgian company will theoretically simplify Sakhashchyk's participation in contracting competitions and tenders, and also simplify the employment of staff, particularly Belarusians with work visas.

The advantage of buying such a company over opening a new one is that it already has a credit history and open accounts.
