In the Hrodna region, a woman and a one-year-old child died in an accident
On May 20, at about 4:30 PM, on the M-6 highway "Minsk — Hrodna — Polish border", the driver of a Peugeot car drove into the oncoming lane. A head-on collision with a Mazda car occurred there, the Interior Ministry's press service reports .
On the M6 highway near Hrodna, repairs are underway, and traffic is organized on one side of the road, but it is very wide, there is enough space for everyone. However, the 32-year-old driver of the Peugeot veered into the oncoming lane — either to overtake or for some other reason. There he collided with the Mazda.
As a result of the accident, a 71-year-old female passenger and a one-year-old child died.
The child was traveling in the Peugeot, and the woman was in the Mazda.
Three more people injured in the accident were taken to the hospital.
