Minsk Family to be Tried for Treason and Arms Smuggling. They were Reportedly Detained at the Border — What is Known
Kindergarten employees Dzmitry and Tatsiana Korsakau are behind bars, and their daughter Pelagiya is planned to be tried in absentia.

Tatsiana Korsakava is 57 years old. According to Belpol's data, she worked as a preschool educator in kindergarten №518. She holds the first qualification category.

Her husband, 58-year-old Dzmitry Korsakau, worked as a handyman in the same kindergarten. Previously, judging by social networks, he used to drive cars from abroad.

Their daughter Pelagiya is 28 years old. Previously, according to Belsat's information, she worked in kindergartens, and then in a Minsk cafe on Kuibyshaŭ, 22 (now Horizont Hub). The girl now lives in Ukraine.

Their family is not wealthy, but close-knit. Dzmitry loves to build and complete things at his own dacha, and the family went mushroom picking and traveled around Belarus and abroad. There is no "criminality" in the couple's social media — only memes, games, and health-related posts.
Dzmitry was last online on September 23, 2025 — shortly after that, he and his wife were reportedly detained at the border.
According to information from human rights defenders, both are charged under Part 1 of Art. 356 of the Criminal Code (treason), Part 4 of Art. 295 of the Criminal Code (illegal actions with weapons, ammunition, and explosives), and Part 3 of Art. 333‑1 of the Criminal Code (illegal movement of dangerous substances and weapons across the border). As of the time the case is being prepared for trial, they are in custody.
Their daughter Pelagiya Korsakava is also charged with treason. She is summoned to court, but the hearing will be in absentia. The circumstances of the case are unknown.
