Head of ZROBIM architects studio now in pre-trial detention

The bureau is accused of tax evasion. Shortly before the security forces' visit, studio co-founder Andrei Makouski (Andrus Bezdar) wrote on social media that they had received instructions to hire an ideologist.

Security forces came to the office of ZROBIM architects bureau on April 9 and 10. About 50 employees were detained, most were later released.

The firm was accused of receiving undeclared profits of $6 million from 2021 to 2025. The total damage to the country's budget was estimated at more than 5 million rubles. An STB report stated that "at least 60% of all salaries" to the bureau's employees were paid "in envelopes."

Studio co-founder Andrei Makouski was detained. But 16 days after the raid on the studio, posts about new projects appeared on Andrei's social media — it was assumed that he had been released.

However, yesterday, June 4, a post appeared on Andrei's Threads account: "Greetings from the pre-trial detention center! Pay your taxes in full, guys."

Later, his wife explained on social media: she is temporarily managing the account while her husband is behind bars. "In his letters, he sends me messages for Threads that he wants to discuss with you."

Makouski is currently under investigation, but the company continues to operate.

"не менш за 60% ад усіх заробкаў выплачвалі ў канвертах" - конечно не менш, а больш. Как и вообще везде. А нам потом показывают цифры зарплаты в Минске, которые даже стоимости новых авто в одном районе не покрывают, про жилье вообще молчу. И ойойойой а вот покупательная способность, а вот соседи нас все обогнали. Ага.
