One of those convicted for the "Crocus" terrorist attack committed suicide
One of those sentenced to life imprisonment in the "Crocus" terrorist attack case committed suicide, reported RBC publication with reference to the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the city of Moscow.

"Resuscitation efforts were performed on the spot but yielded no results. A check is currently underway, and the results will be available today," the report states.
According to data from the Telegram channel Shot, the suicide victim is 37-year-old Yusufzoda Yakubjony.
He reportedly attempted suicide overnight in the capital's "Matrosskaya Tishina" pre-trial detention center. Doctors took the man to the hospital, where they resuscitated him for several hours, but he eventually died.
Yakubjony, along with 10 other individuals, received a life sentence as an accomplice to the four direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack. He transferred money for the perpetrators' accommodation.
The verdict in the "Crocus" terrorist attack case in Moscow's entertainment center was delivered on March 12. 15 people received life sentences. Among them were not only the killers but also those who assisted with money, housing, and transport. The verdict sparked outrage among the victims, who consider it too lenient due to the theoretical possibility of parole in the future. Victims' lawyers even proposed suspending the moratorium on the death penalty for such cases.
The attack on "Crocus City Hall" near Moscow occurred on March 22, 2024. Armed assailants stormed the hall before a "Piknik" band concert, opened fire on people, and set the building on fire. As a result, 151 people died, one is considered missing, and over 600 were injured.
The investigation established that the attack was organized by members of the terrorist group "Vilayat Khorasan," banned in Russia, along with accomplices. Some of them underwent training abroad, while others were in Russia and were involved in finding weapons, modifying them, and delivering them. Part of the weaponry was first brought to Kaspiysk in Dagestan, and then to Moscow before the attack.
