Due to frequent attacks by the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) on Russian cities, for Moscow there are no longer and cannot be any rules regarding Kyiv, stated former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Max, writes the BBC.
According to him, the only exception for Moscow is "deliberate, that is, knowingly conscious, destruction of civilians."
Medvedev also stated that the Hague Conventions on the Laws and Customs of War are no longer needed. These documents distinguish between participants in hostilities and the civilian population, regulate the rules for treating prisoners of war, protect cultural monuments during wartime, and so on.
Medvedev's statement was made after the most massive attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow and the Moscow region in the last two years, during which, in particular, the capital's oil refinery was hit. No one was injured at the plant, but in the region, a child died in a fire caused by a drone strike on a house.
