According to the Society's data, on June 27 and 28, 15 tragedies occurred on the country's reservoirs, resulting in people's deaths, while another 27 people recreating near the water were rescued.
Rescuers warn residents about the need to exercise caution, especially during periods of abnormal heat, when the number of people recreating near water sharply increases.
The Water Rescue Society reminds that most water tragedies occur due to the violation of basic safety rules.
Specialists recommend:
- swim only in equipped areas;
- do not enter the water while intoxicated;
- do not leave children unattended even in shallow water;
- do not swim too far and do not overestimate your abilities.
In conditions of abnormal heat, rescuers also advise against suddenly entering cold water after prolonged sun exposure, as a sharp temperature drop can lead to a worsening of well-being and loss of consciousness.
