Forecaster Dmitry Ryabov warned on ONT that during the week of January 19-25, a cold anticyclone will intensify over Belarus, with its center located directly over the country. According to him, frosts will persist throughout the week, and significant precipitation is not expected.

Air temperature will be 8-12 degrees below the climatic norm, and a moderate continental wind will make the weather even colder. At the beginning of the week, the anticyclone will intensify and maintain its influence in the middle of the week. Almost no snow is predicted, but ice and black ice are possible on the roads.
At night, the air temperature will drop to -14...-20 degrees Celsius, and during clearings, to -25. On Monday, daytime temperatures are expected from -4 in Brest to -11 in Vitebsk, and on Tuesday, from -3 to -10.
In the middle of the week, variable cloudiness, light snow, and gusty east or northeast winds are possible. On Wednesday night, -17...-25 degrees Celsius are predicted, and during the day, from -4 to -7.
The second half of the week, according to preliminary data, will be under the influence of cold and humid air from northern latitudes. Precipitation will again be scarce. At night, the temperature may drop to -19...-25, and during clearings, to -29. On Thursday, daytime temperatures are expected from -8 in the southwest to -17 in the northeast, and on Friday, -17...-22.
Another cold anticyclone will arrive in Belarus on the weekend. No precipitation is predicted, the wind will be moderate, northern, and black ice will remain on the roads. Air humidity will reach 90 percent. At night, the temperature will be -21...-30 degrees Celsius, on Saturday during the day -14...-17, and on Sunday -11...-16.
