It seems that Kolyada (caroling) gains popularity every year. This year, it seems, at least one troupe of Goats, Bears, Foxes, and Wolves was present in every city in Belarus. We have gathered a series of examples of how Belarusians celebrated Kolyada on the Old New Year.

The Belarusian-speaking band Kas.band responsibly celebrated Kolyada. With songs and in national costumes, the band members walked the streets of their district, visiting various houses, which was a pleasant surprise for their residents.
«In Ruzhany and Pruzhany, Kolyada is coming» — carolers from this region sang playfully. Their company included a Goat and even a Priest, who gathered the most positive reactions in the comments.
The carolers' video was watched by over 200,000 people. Many noted that Belarusians wonderfully lifted spirits with their dances and songs.
In Minsk, carolers were creative: for example, in this video, Zaychiha (Bunny) shows how she created a beautiful, bright star with her own hands - from cardboard and a lamp.

Those who couldn't find a company didn't give up: a boy in Zhlobin, dressed as a Moose, went door-to-door by himself. And not with empty hands, but with a repertoire of thematic songs.
Commenters were delighted by the boy's voice, who, as it turned out, is named Bahdan Semenchukou and professionally studies vocals.
«I thought no one goes caroling door-to-door anymore, in my childhood they did, it's a pity traditions are fading away,» one commenter noted. To which others disagreed. In response, they sent several Kolyada skits with a Goat, organized by both adults and children in the entrances of buildings in Vitebsk region.
«May your generous house always be rich!» — the carolers wished farewell, having earned sausage for the Little Goat.
The largest Kolyada celebrations were organized by district cultural centers. In Byalynichy, there were even sleighs.
And this is how little Belarusians, boys and girls, celebrated Kolyada in the village of Vyazzie, in the Asipovichy district.
And this is how Kolyada will be remembered by the residents of Babruysk — with a trained Bear, Goat, and Horse.
Often, the images of Belarusian carolers were quite traditional, but some stood out. For example, at the Kolyada in Gomel, Shrek and a She-devil could be seen on the city streets.
Belarusians abroad also celebrated Kolyada. For instance, entire groups of people, one of which included representatives of the male choir "Kasary," traveled to Polish Podlachia for this purpose.
