A new floral art object has appeared in Vitebsk, which is already attracting the attention of residents and guests of the city. Near the Summer Amphitheater, a flowerbed was designed in the shape of a girl holding cornflowers – one of the main symbols of the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival, reports the publication "Nash portal".
This composition has become the central part of the renovated floral ensemble, on which specialists from the "Vitebsk Zelenstroy" enterprise are working.
This year, Vitebsk is focusing not only on traditional flowerbeds but also on vertical green structures. New elements of landscape design are appearing on Svabody and Peramohi Squares, along the central streets, near the Summer Amphitheater, and also in the square on Bahdana Khmyalnitskaha Street. In addition, renovated floral compositions have adorned the Kirauski and Kastrychnitski bridges.
The main decoration of this season was precisely the flowerbed-girl with cornflowers. It is expected to become one of the most popular photo locations during the "Slavianski Bazaar" where both Vitebsk residents and tourists will take pictures.
Near the amphitheater, shrub roses and cannas are also blooming, creating a bright and rich background. Urban landscapers have expanded the assortment of plants this year. In addition to common flowers, alternanthera, bacopa, and ground ivy are used. These plants tolerate weather changes well and maintain an attractive appearance even during wind and rain.
Special attention was given to cannas — there are significantly more of them in urban landscaping, making the floral compositions even brighter and more expressive.
