Easter Foods Consecrated in Minsk

Today, on the eve of Easter, Easter foods are being consecrated in Orthodox churches across Belarus.

One such consecration took place near the Holy Spirit Cathedral in the Upper City of Minsk.

At night, a grand divine service will be held in the cathedral, led by Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus. It will be broadcast on BT and "Belarus-24". It starts at 23:45.

Solemn festive divine services will be held in all Orthodox churches.

The Belarusian Orthodox Parish in Vilnius will also celebrate Easter.

The Vilnius community invites everyone to take part in the Paschal procession and the nocturnal Easter Liturgy, which will begin on the night of April 11-12 in the famous historic Trinity Church within the Basilian walls, close to midnight at 23:50 (Aušros vartų g. 7б).

The consecration of Easter foods is taking place today until 21:00 in the church at Bokšto gatvė, 4.
