Ukrainian Navy: It's Too Early to Talk About Russian Retreat from Kinburn Spit
Ukrainian servicemen have installed the state flag of Ukraine on the Kinburn Spit, located in Mykolaiv Oblast. This was previously reported by the "South" Regional Command of the Territorial Defense Forces. However, the Ukrainian Navy urged against drawing too quick conclusions from this.

As the military reported earlier, as a result of powerful strikes on Russian troop positions, the occupiers were forced to abandon a number of their positions and also began the evacuation of some of the surviving personnel.
However, the Naval Forces of Ukraine urged against drawing conclusions about a complete retreat of Russian troops from the Kinburn Spit. Dmitry Pletenchuk, a representative of the Navy, noted that this territory still remains a zone of active hostilities and holds important strategic significance for the Russian side.
According to him, the process of destroying Russian logistics in this area, which has been ongoing for a long time, continues. At the same time, it is still premature to talk about the full liberation of the Kinburn Spit or the withdrawal of Russian troops from its territory.
Russian troops captured the Kinburn Spit in March 2022, advancing there from the occupied part of Kherson Oblast. Since then, this area has remained one of the important bridgeheads for Russian forces in southern Ukraine.
