Ksyusha with SMA, whose fate the whole country followed, received the life-saving Zolgensma injection
Two months ago, doctors were skeptical. The medical council decided that the window of opportunity for Ksyusha was lost. But volunteers did not give up and secured the life-saving injection.

Ksyusha Maiseenka
To recap: the fundraiser for Ksyusha Maiseenka with SMA, who was left in an orphanage by her biological mother, was completed by Belarusians in record time. More than 1.8 million dollars were collected in just 1.5 months.
However, while the money was being raised, Ksyusha fell ill and was hospitalized with pneumonia — as a result, her condition significantly worsened; the girl could not sit up or even hold her head.
Therefore, the republican medical council decided that she should not be administered the world's most expensive medicine — Zolgensma. However, the volunteers who were caring for the girl decided not to give up.
Ksyusha was receiving pathogenetic therapy with the drug 'Risdiplam'. Thanks to it, her condition significantly improved. Volunteers secured a second medical council meeting — where doctors finally gave permission for the long-awaited injection.

Ksyusha in the hospital
This week, Ksyusha and her mother were planned to be hospitalized at the RSPC (Republican Scientific and Practical Centre). And today it became known that the girl received the Zolgensma injection.
