Beaver hit by a train in front of schoolchildren in Germany. Nine trains delayed for its rescue

At the Türkenfeld railway station, several 6th-8th grade students witnessed a train severing part of a beaver's tail. The injured animal remained on the tracks, and the schoolchildren were so agitated that they were about to go down there themselves to rescue the beaver, writes the Telegram channel "What's up with the Germans" with reference to the federal police.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and blocked the railway tracks, which caused delays for nine trains. The police removed the injured animal from the dangerous zone and handed it over to a veterinarian, who delivered the rodent to an animal rescue center.
There it turned out to be a female beaver, named Barbara. She has good chances of recovery.
The school director, who arrived at the station, organized psychological support for the students.
The veterinarian later offered to organize an excursion to the rescue center for them so they could follow Barbara's recovery.
When she recovers, she will be released in France — there are more suitable territories for her life there, the police note.
