Coach whose wife died when a drone hit a bus in Bryansk region in June discharged from hospital

Children's coach Aliaksei Haroshka, who was injured during the bus incident in Russia's Bryansk region in June, has been discharged from a Minsk hospital, reports the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

It is reported that the man underwent several complex operations and two weeks of rehabilitation at the 432nd Main Military Clinical Medical Center. After completing inpatient treatment, he was discharged, and further recovery will continue on an outpatient basis.

Doctors note that the treatment of such patients requires the joint work of various specialists - surgeons, psychotherapists, and other doctors. The importance of psychological support during rehabilitation is especially emphasized.

According to the doctors, the coach was most concerned not about his own health, but about his trainees, who also suffered in the same incident. He received support from both colleagues and the children's parents, and the young footballers themselves recorded a video message with words of support and wishes for a speedy recovery.

Doctors report that the patient's condition allows him to continue recovery at home. Aliaksei Haroshka himself notes that he wants to return to work and continue training after full recovery.

However, the report inexplicably overlooks the fact that during that very incident in that bus, Aliaksei Haroshka's wife, 44-year-old Viktoryia Hrytsenka (Haroshka), died.

On June 17, a bus was damaged in the Bryansk region, which was transporting children from the football team of Children and Youth Sports School No. 2 of Rechytsa, as well as students from a private dance studio. According to Russian authorities, the strike was allegedly carried out by a Ukrainian drone. The Ukrainian side strongly denies its involvement.

As a result of the incident, a woman who was accompanying the group of children and was the wife of the team's coach—Aliaksei Haroshka himself—died. Eight other people, including six children, suffered injuries of varying severity.
