Social discounts in Belarusian retail chains extended for another six months
The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade and major retail organizations in Belarus have signed an agreement to extend social discounts for vulnerable categories of the population for the first half of 2026, the MART press service reported .

The document was signed at the "Stolitsa" shopping center in Minsk. Under the new terms, social discounts of up to 10% will apply to 29 groups of essential goods, including bread, flour, oat and pearl barley groats, pasta, meat (beef, pork, chicken), dairy products, eggs, vegetables, and others.
Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Artur Karpovich noted that the agreement has been in effect for the fourth year, and 2026 will be the fifth. Unlike previous one-time extensions, the discounts are now approved for six months at once.
During the program's operation, over 2.5 million social cards have been issued, and the total amount of these discounts has exceeded 150 million Belarusian rubles.
