In a Belarusian First League match between Barysaŭ club BATE-2 and Smarhoń, an original Easter method was used during the traditional draw to choose ends at the start of the match.

Usually, to determine which half of the field teams will play on in the first half and which of them will have possession of the ball first, the referee tosses a coin. In Minsk, however, they did something more original — the team captains, in accordance with an ancient folk tradition, tapped decorated Easter eggs. Whoever had the stronger one gained the advantage.
