The country's capital plans to fully switch to public transport fare payment by bank card by the end of the year, said Konstantin Galolobov, CEO of "Minsktrans".

Currently, this option is available on only two routes. The test operation period is underway on trolleybus route No. 1, as well as on bus (electric bus) route No. 1.

"We are looking at all the nuances of the payment system, where, how, what to improve so that it works stably for passengers, for cardholders of any banks - both from the Republic of Belarus and non-resident banks," explained the "Minsktrans" representative.

Currently, the main issue being addressed is the procurement of the necessary equipment.
