Nasta Sukhanosik to be the new host of "Morning with Belsat"

Nasta hosts the literary project "Roasting the Boar" on "Budzma", acts in the theater, and produces "Tutaka" podcasts.

Her debut on air will take place on Saturday, June 20. She will work in a pair with Valer Rusielik.

In an interview with "Belsat", Nasta confessed that she is a little scared.

"Scared... Very! Truly! I'm not afraid of live broadcasts, I'm not afraid to tell and share my thoughts, but asking questions – that's different. That's more journalistic work. And I'm not a journalist by education. So for me, this is a huge challenge. And in a certain sense – yes, it's madness, of course."

"Perhaps I will reveal myself somewhere, become more talkative. I'm already talkative, I have lively facial expressions, and I actively listen. This, again, is a professional skill. And it seems to me that something must come of it," she said.

"In short, I don't know yet what 'Belsat' will gain from my arrival, but I know what I will gain. I really want at least some communication with Belarusians in Belarus. I understand that I won't get feedback from there. But I know that 'Belsat' is watched in Belarus. Secretly, underground. Then they clear the browser, but they watch. Maybe there aren't as many such people as one would like, because it's dangerous, but they exist. I believe in this. Maybe it's a bit rosy, but no one forbids us to dream," the girl believes.

She says she has television experience.

"I once hosted a morning program on Hrodna television. But it was pre-recorded. Several broadcasts were recorded in advance. A completely different matter. Well, and it was Hrodna – no need to get anywhere. But I admit, now these one and a half to two hours when you are on the road from Bialystok [she lives in Bialystok – NN] to Warsaw or vice versa – this is time when you can think a little or read. Before that, I simply didn't have time for reflection."

She also said that last year she finally realized her long-held idea and became the host of a podcast produced by the "Tutaka" foundation.

"I conduct conversations with Belarusians from the Bialystok region. One could say I somewhat got a feel for the profession of a journalist. Because I find it interesting. To engage in a dialogue that you never know where it will lead you. Therefore, there too – thorough preparation for the guest," she said.
