In Gomel, a man beat an 86-year-old grandfather to feel "pleasure from the suffering of others"
After brutally beating the grandfather, the Gomel resident called an ambulance for himself to be taken to a psychiatric dispensary, where he is registered.

A 38-year-old man pushed the elderly Gomel resident into his apartment and began severely beating him. He broke a glass jar and a desk lamp over the old man's head, and also inflicted dozens of strong blows, writes "Belka".
After leaving the grandfather, the attacker called an ambulance for himself and went to the psychiatric dispensary where he is registered.
Help was provided to the victim by his son, who accidentally dropped by during his lunch break.
"There was no conflict between the neighbors. When asked by the investigator about the motive for the attack, the accused said that he takes pleasure in seeing another person suffer and feel bad," the Investigative Committee reported.
Previously, the accused was convicted of crimes against sexual integrity and served a long prison sentence.
A forensic psychiatric examination confirmed that the man was conscious. He was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with placement in a correctional facility of a closed type.
