Budanov: Lukashenka heard Ukraine's warnings. I don't see a threat of an offensive from Belarus
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, told "RBC-Ukraine" that a war with Ukraine would end in collapse for Belarus.
— There is another neighbor, already definitely hostile — that is Belarus. Lukashenka heard our warnings, apparently? — the correspondent asked Budanov.
— Apparently, he heard them. But in principle, I would treat the issue of Belarus more calmly. We don't need to create another enemy.
I don't mean that we are escalating something there ourselves, no. But in principle, having another enemy and another zone of hostilities is definitely not beneficial for us. The fact that they heard us is a very correct step. And it should be perceived precisely this way.
— Lukashenka, as I understand it, is very afraid of not being the one to blame in this whole story. He himself, obviously, definitely does not need to attack Ukraine. Is he afraid that he will be forced?
— I don't even understand why in theory he might need this. A war with Ukraine would end in collapse for them.
Because on one side there is Russia, which will suffocate them in a fraternal embrace and completely crush them under such conditions. And they know this perfectly well. On the other side is Ukraine, which, let's say, can do something.

— That's what I'm talking about. Therefore, there is no sense. Accordingly, as of now, at the time of the conversation, I don't see any threats, and I'm not just talking about a ground offensive.
