The police received a report from a gas station operator who noticed an intoxicated man driving a Hyundai car. A traffic police crew responded to the call.

Police officers located the suspect's car near the village of Myasata, Maladzyechna district. The driver ignored the signal to stop and attempted to flee. During the pursuit, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, the man posed a threat to other road users and did not react to the demands of the police officers. To stop the car, traffic police decided to shoot.
The driver turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of Minsk. A medical examination showed that he had 1.58 permille of alcohol in his blood.
Three administrative protocols were drawn up against the offender, including for disobedience. The Minsk resident was placed in a temporary detention center.
