Yesterday, July 6, 2026, Uladzislau Misevich, a prominent Belarusian musician and one of the founders of the legendary ensemble "Pesnyary", passed away at the age of 81.

"He was rollerblading, came home, took a contrasting shower, lay down in bed and died," his friends said.
Misevich was active on social media. His last Facebook post was made the day before his death. He reposted the song "Oh, geese flew from the ford" by Muliavin's "Pesnyary".
Uladzislau Misevich was born on May 8, 1945, in Orenburg, where he received his first musical education and began his military-orchestral service.
In the second half of the 1960s, while serving in Minsk, he met Uladzimir Muliavin. In 1968, they both joined the ensemble "Liavony", which was renamed "Pesnyary" in 1970.
Misevich worked in the collective as a saxophonist, flutist, backing vocalist, and composer.
In 2020, Misevich had a falling out with his colleagues from "Belaruskiya Pesnyary", who supported the movement for democratic changes. Misevich, however, remained on the side of Lukashenka's supporters.
